Grant Property Omlette

There are certain staple items that work really well when the cupboards are bare and there's not enough cash for a takeaway. We know that especially in Summer life can get really busy so now's the time to familiarise yourself with omlette making.

The great news is no matter who you're cooking for you can add to suit. Our recipe uses onion, olives, cheese and ham but you can mix it up.

What you'll need
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g smoked ham
  • A small onion
  • A handful of sliced black olives
  • Cheese
  • Milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • Frying pan
  • Mixing bowl

How it's Done
  • Chop your onion into small chunks.
  • Tear ham up.
  • Crack both eggs into a bowl and mix with a pinch of salt and pepper and whisk together and add a milk.
  • Heat oil and gently fry onion and ham together until onion has started to turn golden before adding olives.
  • Add egg mixture and cheese and cook on a low heat until underside takes on a golden hue, then flip.
  • When the egg is cooked completely it's ready to serve.
