Grant Property What's on Weekend

The carnival atmosphere continues across the country so here's our pick of what's hot and happening this Summer weekend.

If you're in Aberdeen The Pretty Things Peepshow is a thing of beauty and intrigue at The Tunnels on Saturday evening. Doors open 7pm and the show starts at £8.80.

Get musical at Dundee's central library – come along and try your hand at Scots or Gaelic song, or attempt to play the whistle, fiddle or harp. There's a chance to nosey (FREE) around the art and animation produced by the Masters students at Duncan of Jordanstone too from Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Glasgow will be awash with rainbow colours this weekend for Pride Glasgow – there's a street party and parade from 12 noon til 10pm at Glasgow Green. At the Kings Theatre Saturday is the final night of The Curious Incident Of The Dog in the Night Time.

Up North in Stirling local textile artists display their work at Arc Gallery in the fittingly titled Threads on Saturday from 11am to 4pm – there are workshops too!

The Edinburgh Festival continues apace and it's the final day of The Beanfield from Warwich University graduate company Breach Theatre. It's a thoughtful but brilliant piece that shows that this generation do care about politics. Also running from Friday to Monday at The Pleasance, venue 23, is the Big Bite Size BreakfastShow. This is rotating comedy from the White Room Theatre Ltd with free coffee, croissant and strawberries – how civilised.

Nottingham too will bring funny men to the Glee Club this weekend. On Saturday night treat yourself to 4 top comics and some grub for just £16.50.

Have fun, laugh much and don't forget to Instagram it!
