What's on this weekend

There's not long until the big day and we've gathered together all of our best pre Christmas events.

In Aberdeen this Friday night head to The Tunnels for techno geekery with Rune Reilly Kolsch, tickets are just £15 the ideal secret Santa to yourself.

Get festive in Dundee with a night time adventures at Camperdown Wildlife Park, there’s lots going on.

Those in Stirling can continue Christmassing it up with The Little Mermaid Panto, 7:30 pm at Macroberts Arts Centre. Oh yes it is!!

In Edinburgh it’s Cowgate Christmas, find food stalls, the Jaegermeister ski lodge as well as live music and hot festive drinks too. This alternative Christmas bash is on on Friday and Saturday.

On Saturday night it’s Kolsch again but this time he’s getting the crowd jumping at SWG3 in Glasgow!

Tonight in Nottingham The Rescue Rooms offer the perfect chance to escaper Christmas-overload contemporary rockers Amber Run. Doors open at 6:30 pm and there’s no age restriction, perfect for under 18’s!

What's on this weekend

At least half the sweets in the advent calendar are gone, the end of term is here and the Christmas jumpers (and dresses!) are here so it’s definitely time for festive fun.

If you’re up North this weekend head along to the Christmas Village at Union Terrace. At the heart of it is an ice rink, the perfect setting for #Christmas Instagram pictures. Don’t forget to pick up tasty goodies at the German market too.

In Edinburgh Nightvision x Snowbombing present Knee Deep at The Liquid Rooms on Saturday night. This was a sell out last year and guaranteed to give good times whether it snows outside or not.

Tonight the incredible 2manydjs hit SWG3 in Glasgow tonight, expect to be up dancing until 3am. If you’re facing a faceless work Christmas do, rebel and dance away into the night.  

On Friday as well The Kooks are heading to Nottingham tonight and will be rocking Rock City.

Get traditional in Stirling with Carols At The Castle. Head along to the castle at 7pm on Sunday night for a gorgeously festive evening with mulled wine and mask any terrible singing with National Youth Choir of Scotland.

Boo to storms hitting the west coast tonight. Storm Desmond has shut down George Square fun tonight so ice skating might be cancelled, but there’s still lots to do across Scotland, and in Nottingham too!

It’s your chance to brush of your “He’s behind you” and “Oh no it isn’t” in Stirling. The panto at Mugdock Country Park is Cinderella, go on you know you want to. Find out more here.

Booing and hissing is in order at the Gardyne Theatre in Dundee too, the city making its mark with culture is putting on Sleeping Beauty.

In Nottingham head to Rock City tonight Callum Burrows takes indie project Saint Raymond there tonight, doors at 5:15pm.

In Glasgow there’s bratwurst and a Bavarian bar, prosecco crepes and festive shopping at Christmas at Candleriggs so it’s time to get into the spirit.
