Lifestyle
Many people refer to Stirling as a mini version of the country’s capital, Edinburgh - of course a much cheaper version.
Like Edinburgh, the city has an air of history surrounding it. And, of course, there are many cobbled streets which are home to old, stone buildings, transporting you back a few centuries.
Although historic, the city also has a metropolitan and modern feel to it. This gives inhabitants of the city the best of both worlds - something not a lot of cities can offer.
Those living in the city enjoy a lifestyle which is unrivalled anywhere else in Scotland. The residents get the best of both world's - a bit of traditional Scotland (at a reasonable price), and a part of a really modern and emerging city, which makes this a lovely and enjoyable place to live.
Stirling is not far from Bannockburn, the site where we sent Prince Edward homeward and kept Scotland for ourselves! 2014 will see the 700th Anniversary of the battle and there is a project underway to renovate or revisit the battle in new ways and will become a tourist attraction that will allow tourists to experience ‘medieval warfare like never before’!
Nightlife
Stirling is home to a number of great nightclubs as well as bars and the club scene is also similar to that of Glasgow. Dusk, formerly known as Enigma recently underwent a massive £250,000 renovation and is a great nightclub if you are planning on staying out until 3am!
If your night is a little bit more relaxed but still in the mood for a bit of clubbing there are still venues for you. The City Walls closes at 1am and requires ‘smart dress if you don’t want to stand out from the crowd’.
Although Stirling doesn't have as many clubs as the likes of Edinburgh, there is still something for everyone here. One of the most popular clubs amongst the city’s student population is Fubar, which is in the very heart of the city.

Entertainment
Stirling has many things to see and do. The two obvious activities would be to visit the famous Stirling Castle, and the Wallace Monument - a homage to one of Scotland’s greatest sons, and subject matter for the Oscar-winning Hollywood epic, Braveheart, William Wallace.
However, there’s more than those two attractions in the city. Not far from the heart of the city, you’ll find Blairdrummond Safari Park. There, you’ll be able to drive past a number of wild animals, including Lions and tigers. The park also houses two very large elephants and has many outdoor activities too.
There are cinemas in the city too, along with theatres and ten pin bowling.

These attractions, along with the busy night-life should make Stirling a hit with young professionals and/or students who work hard, and play hard.
