Take a load off this weekend. With exams and deadlines
looming it’s a busy time of year. It’s important to make the most of the sunshine
while we have it, so remember to explore the parks, golf courses and beaches in
your city too.
For fans of Aphex Twin Nottingham is the place to be this weekend. Three Trapped Tigers play to
crowds upstairs at The Bodega at 7pm Friday night, £11.25.
Tonight in Edinburgh
get patriotic and head to the The Tartan Underground. There’s live music at The
Jazz Bar 6.30 -8.30 pm and it’s free entry ‘til 8pm.
The Aussies have
arrived on the West coast. Glasgow Australia’s premier DJ Timmy Trumpet at is SWG3
10pm – 2am tonight. Entry is £24.50 and it’s bound to be a great night.
Get your groove on
and your lighters up to ‘Female of the Species’, a different kind of sound’s
going down in Stirling tonight. 90’s indie kids Space come to Warehouse
in Falkirk on Friday night. It’s just £16.50 and doors open at 7pm.
A huge choir hits Dundee’s West End tonight. Musical theatre
extravaganza with a 200 strong choir and starring the talented Christine Bianco
and X-Factor star Ray Quinn enjoy songs from the best loved shows in the West
End.
Only mature palettes may apply in Aberdeen this weekend as
the AECC hosts Aberdeen Whisky Fest. The third round of this now thriving
festival will showcase a wide variety of drams, as well as some more exclusive
whiskies. There’s the chance to talk to the experts about their particular
drams and get involved in masterclasses too. Doors are open from 12 – 5pm and
with £30 entry for one, or 2 for £40 it’s worth sharing the knowledge.
