Aberdeen's arty all
weekend with the Aberdeen Art Fair kicking off today and running
until Sunday 6th September at the Aberdeen Music Hall.
On Saturday morning in
Dundee the city square is hosing a local Pop Up Market in front of
the Caird Hall selling everything from food and drink to goodies from
local enterprises.
Defending champions
Glasgow Warriors take on the Welsh Scarlets as the Guiness Pro 12 kicks off
again at Scotstoun Stadium, 5.15pm on Saturday. If you can't get a ticket it's on
Sky Sports too.
In Stirling this
weekend it's all about the blues on Saturday night at Macrobert ArtsCentre, 7:30pm. The band are fresh from their sell out run at theEdinburgh Festival.
Now that the capital
has been reclaimed by the locals there's a gig worth going to and the
chance to learn a language too. Inlingua Edinburgh are celebrating
their ten year anniversary by offering a Languages and Culture Open
Day on Saturday – get a free mini lesson on German, Italian,
Portuguese, Japanese, Turkish and English from noon. After that head
along to The Mash House for 7pm on Saturday to catch The Valkarys,
Caravan Club and Ayakara – tickets £5.
Glasgow is catering to
the foodie market again this weekend – at SWG3 chefs from top
Glasgow eateries are offering tasty bites on Saturday and Sunday with
Let's Eat Glasgow, free entry and £5 a nibble. The Drygate Brewery is showcasing some cool beers through Craft Beer Rising £12.
In Nottingham chatty
man Alan Carr takes to the stage at the Royal Concert Hall with his
Yap, Yap, Yap tour, 8pm.
