How to find a room to rent when studying in Scotland...

The academic year is now well and truly underway. Many overseas students move to the UK to attend university and finding accommodation can be a time consuming and a worry. At Grant Property we understand that many students coming to university may not know where to begin getting a room never mind knowing anyone in the city. Therefore, we like to take the stress out of finding a room by hosting our Flatshare Evenings. Many students require room only accommodation and our Flatshare Evenings are designed to help you find flat mates to move in with.

We provide the flats and the evenings are designed to help those looking for a room to move into. We held our first Flatshare Evening last Thursday, 15th September and we are delighted to inform you all that it was a great success. It was held in Edinburgh and with 25 individuals who attended, we were able to find everyone a room within our properties and have rooms reserved in other flats.

We are hosting another Flatshare Evening on Thursday 22nd September from 4-6pm at our head office at 14 Coates Crescent, Edinburgh. Today is a very exciting day for Grant Property. We have added a new addition to our office locations. As well as being based in Edinburgh, our Head Office, Glasgow and Dundee, we have now opened a branch in Stirling.

Grant Property was set up in 1997 by husband and wife Peter and Colette Grant. With around 100 staff, it is still owned and managed by its founders, with HBOS PLC having taken a 20% stake in January 2006. Peter and Colette Grant based Grant Property's business model on their own personal experience as investors, landlords and tenants.
