10 years with Grant Property...

On Friday we helped Gary, one of our Directors celebrate his 10th anniversary working here at Grant Property! The photo on the left is of Gary (left) and Grant Property Owner, Peter Grant (right).

We surprised Gary on Friday with some celebratory drinks and a bottle of champers and after his initial embarrassment he gladly accepted a well deserved beer. Congratulations Gary, here's to another 10 years...?

How to reduce condensation and prevent mould in your property...

We don't know about you but the winter weather is really getting us down especially with the crazy winds and frightening storms! It's at this time of year when you need to watch out for problems caused by the miserable weather such as frozen pipes and mould in your property. Condensation and mould are common concerns especially during the winter months and we often get asked for advice on how to deal with them, so here is how you can help prevent and avoid such issues.

How to reduce condensation
  • Make full use of extractor fans and hoods
  • Do not dry clothes on radiators
  • Use washer dryer or a clothes airer
How to avoid mould

Minimise the moisture in the air of your property by following our ventilation guide lines:
  • Keep heating on low
  • Open your windows as much as possible to ventilate the rooms
  • Wipe and remove condensation regularly
  • Remove mould using an anti-fungal wash with a clean cloth, so it doesn't spread
Check out this video which gives more advice on getting rid of and stopping mould in your property.

We hope these tips help you especially during this time of year when these issues are more common. We have a series of videos that are designed to offer you help and advice on how to deal with situations like frozen pipes, electrical faults, fire safety and much more. This way you won't be left completely helpless in an emergency. To view the rest of our Help videos visit our You Tube channel now.
