We make all our properties carbon neutral...

We are hugely supportive of reducing the effect of Carbon Emissions. But do you know what your carbon footprint is and why it's important to help reduce the effects of Global Warming? Well our friends at Global Trees have a nifty Carbon Footprint Calculator and offer advice on how to be that little bit greener in doing your bit to help our environment.

We make all our properties carbon neutral
Emissions from properties (mainly Gas and Electricity) account for 52% of global warming. When you rent your property with Grant Property we will ensure that we make it carbon neutral by planting trees for every one of our properties. Why? Because trees act as lungs of the world...

Here are a few facts that we have taken from Global Trees to highlight the importance of going green.

Why is this important?
Emissions of carbon dioxide from cars, power stations, etc, increase the greenhouse effect, trapping heat in the atmosphere and melting the polar ice-caps and potentially leading to catastrophic rising of sea levels and changes to the eco-systems on which we all depend

Global Warming is the biggest lasting issue facing us and those who come after us. Almost all scientists and all governments now agree that immediate action is needed to reduce carbon emissions. However, there is little advice in simple English available about what you can do to reduce carbon emissions. Worse, it appears that many people think that only governments and big organisations can do anything.

What can be done?
Everyone can reduce the effect of their carbon emissions (their ‘carbon footprint’).
Everyone can help plant trees! Trees are a key way of taking carbon from the air and trapping it where it can’t harm the planet. They can also help prevent soil erosion: one analysis of global soil erosion estimates that, depending on the region, topsoil is currently being lost 16 to 300 times faster than it can be replaced.
