March Madness at Grant Property

The letting team at Grant Property were rushed off their feet last month - due to an unprecedented demand for rental properties across Scotland.

High student demand across the UK is making it difficult for young people to secure traditional city centre rental properties.

And in just seven days at the beginning of March, we conducted an astonishing 507 viewings, which led to 59 properties being rented out; a significant increase on the same time last year.

Properties were rented out across Scotland, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Stirling and Aberdeen.

The incredible demand led to our swamped letting team having to limit the amount of potential tenants viewing any one property simultaneously, in order to manage the crowds.

Peter Grant, CEO of Grant Property, said: "The demand for viewings last month was really quite amazing, and we had to work hard to ensure everybody was accommodated.

"There has been a lot of talk about the buy-to-let market’s buoyancy over the last few weeks, and the figures are very encouraging for us and the sector as a whole.

"We’ve got a great team who handled the increase volume of business in an efficient, professional manner.

"We have an extensive portfolio of properties across Scotland, so we’re confident we can accommodate any set of circumstances. Long may the boom continue."
