Firefighters Keep Pushing for Charity

At Grant Property, we have regularly supported the The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service Charity Bed Push - and this year is no different!

The Bed Push, taking place this Sunday 3rd August, is organised by the kind hearted firefighers at Maryhill Fire Station in Glasgow, and all funds raised on the day are donated to the Kelbourne Park School kids.

Kelbourne Park School provides nursery and primary education for children who have additional support needs due to a physical impairment, as well as those who have additional support needs related to language or vision.

The school provides a multi-disciplinary approach, with a range of medical and therapy staff on hand to support the children.

So what is a Bed Push?

On Sunday 3rd of August, some of the kids of Kelbourne Park School will get their beds transformed into a 'fire engine' by the BBC props department, which will then be raced through the streets by the firefighters.

The Grant Property Glasgow branch have went along to various Charity Bed Push's in the past, and it's a fantastic way of raising funds for the school.

Most importantly though, the kids always have great fun!

Over the years, the firefighters have raised over a whopping £40,000 and we are are proud to be sponsoring one of the beds and be part of such a worthwhile cause.

If you would like to donate to this cause or to find out more information please email firefighter Stephen at stephen.bates@strathclydefire.org or call him on 0141 946 223.

We will hopefully have some photos from the day online next week, so make sure you 'like' Grant Property on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to see how much fun we had on the day.
