Grant Property at EUSA Accommodation Fair

On Tuesday we headed along to Edinburgh University's Potterrow for the annual accommodation fair. We were expecting a busy day and came prepared with 500 goody bags.

The fair ran from 11am – 3pm, ideal for students who popped in to see us between classes. Joining us on the day were the lovely Jenny, Paula and Amy from our Edinburgh office. We were there answering questions and helping students find their next flat.

Armed with iPads we found out some important details about what each student wanted in a property for the next university year, and sent those back to our head office. Our team in the office then e-mailed out appropriate properties to each student.

From the time we set up students were popping over for a chat, and the day just got busier. At 11am we had a steady stream of students looking for a flat for next year, and by lunchtime we had to request back up goodybags from the office!

We love meeting new faces, and it wasn't all business. There was some good fun too.

We were lucky enough to have great freebies for everyone who came to see us. They included sugar free cans from Dynamite Drinks, our own re-usable Grant Property goody bags and a photo-booth competition to win free pizza for a whole term.

Early visitors were a bit shy to get into the photo-booth, even with the chance to win free pizza for a term, but that all changed.

Before long there was a queue outside the booth, all choosing props to make their photo stand out. All of the photos from the booth were uploaded straight onto our Facebook page and each visitor got their own copy of the photo to take home.

We can now reveal that it will be leaders of the pizza revolution, La Favorita Delivered who will be giving away free pizza for a term. Our very lucky winners are Nicole Cherruault, Gen Stephens and Emily Earnshaw.

We have to say, girls your photo was good, but for us it came a close second to this one of the team!
