It's not all about romance this weekend

It’s not ALL about romance this weekend, there’s plenty more going on this February weekend including lots of great gigs. Find out more here...

It’s all getting a little bit risqué on Saturday night in the North East. From 7pm The Pandas Present: More Burlesque and Cabaret. For a different, and spectacular evening head along to The Station Hotel. Aberdeen’s stunning Festival of Light, SPECTRA 2016 returns to celebrate 2016 Year of Innovation, Architecture & Design – and it’s FREE! See Union Terrace Gardens, Marischal College, St Nicholas Kirkyard from 6.30 pm all weekend.

Dundee’s alive with the sound of music tonight.  At Grouchos in Dundee celebrate the late and great David Bowie with The Sensational David Bowie Tribute Band, £8. If you’re looking for something more traditional you can dance the night away at the Caird Hall where Runrig are playing tonight.

The coffee house sessions return to University of Stirling this afternoon at 1pm with The Step – London based Italian indie-pop band. Check out their single Gravity.

Oxford rockers The Foals come to the SSE Hydro on Fridaynight – doors open at 6.30 pm.
Three piece Weegie based band Fatherson take to the stage at 7pm in Liquid Rooms. They will be taking to the stage at this summer’s T in The Park and they’ve been touring with some big names.


In Nottingham Kefi Chadwick’s Any Means Necessary comes to the Nottingham Playhouse where shows run for the next week.
