If your new years resolution was to hear more live music this is the ideal weekend for you. From 90’s rockers to bands on their way up there is so much great talent taking the stage across Scotland this week.

This Saturday take a break and allow yourself to be entertained by funny man Nish Kumar at Aberdeen’s The Lemon Tree. The smarty pants stand up has graced The Now Show and Live at the Comedy Store as well as hosting Newsjack.

In Dundee DJ Status is back at DUSA, and he's brining back Full Fat - as well as getting the building jumping there's free entry if you text 07496 974856 and put your name on the guest list!

On Friday night award winning songster Hozier hits the Usher Hall in Edinburgh at 7pm.

In Glasgow on Saturday night The Phantoms are at King Tut’s as part of the New Year’s Revolution, tickets just £9. The Indie Rockers had a great year on tour last year and are all set for fine form on a home stage!

Tonight 90’s rockers Alien Ant Farm hit Rock City in Nottingham and with a full ANThology back catalogue it’s bound to be a great night. Doors open 6.30 pm and tickets are just £19.68.

Near Stirling it’s the turn of Babyshambles singer songwriter Adam Ficek to take to the stage. This weekend he’s in Scotland and tonight takes to the stage at Warehouse in Falkirk with his own indie pop tunes. Tickets are just £11 and doors open at 7pm.
